YOUTH
FAITH | FRIENDSHIP | FUN
We are passionate about inspiring a new generation to love God and each other. Our youth ministry is for teenagers 11-18 years old (years 7-13). We create opportunities for young people to spend time getting to know each other and explore how to live a life centred around Jesus.
Sunday Youth
Every Sunday Morning our young people have a chance to worship with the rest of our church family. They then will head up to the youth room to play games, learn more about Jesus and grow together. We love spending this time together each week and it is never too late to join in. Please make sure you register in the main church when you arrive.
Fusion
On Monday nights, during term time, we meet in the Upper Hall from 6 - 7:30pm. It’s a great chance to build friendships and grow in faith. We take this time to expand on what we have been looking at on Sunday but mainly we hangout and have fun together. Due to having so much more space than we do on a Sunday, we are able to play more interactive games and get messy! Join us on a Monday evening, no need to book, just turn up!
Events
We hold several events throughout the year. One of our favourite events is the Light Party where we celebrate God’s shining light on us and have a lot of food fuelled fun! We love going on holiday together as a church family to Creation Fest. This is a great time to hang out together and explore what is available for the young people. For the first time this year we are going to Spree South West at the end of June. Spree SW is a summer festival for young people ages 8 - 17. It promises to be a weekend of fun, community and transformation. We will be taking our school years 6 - 13 so that our year 6’s can have a fun event to transition into Youth from Kids church. Additional Needs
We want all our young people to feel welcome and at home here at St Matts. If you are a parent or carer of a young person with additional needs, we would love to chat to you about the best way we can support you all. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.
