St Matts Teams on Tour
It is an absolute joy to bring the St Matts community on holiday, but it does take a bit of work!
This year, weāre asking for your help to bring the joy to our corner of the Royal Cornwall Showground.
There are 5 teams you can sign up to across the 6 days that weāll be at the festival, have a read below and see if thereās a particular area you feel that you could bless and serve our community in.
Packing up St Matts
Tues 30th July - 9.30-11am
This team is to help the staff team load up all our community pitch items from the church to our van - many hands make light work!
Extra bonus points if you're good at tetris or fitting obscure items into vans ! šŖ
Making this Field a Home
Tues 30th - Wed 31st July - 12pm onwards
This team is to help us get set up in Cornwall! This will involve unloading the van, plotting everyone's tent pitches from a map, putting up a marquee and making it look homely! You're welcome to come and set up your own tents too, a day early! āŗ
Operation Pack-Down
Sun 4th Aug - 3pm onwards
This team will be giving us a hand packing down our community area and taking down our marquee. We'll also be loading the St Matts van back up again ready to travel back to Plymouth! š
Community Event Extraordinaires
Ad-hoc through the weekend
This is a team that will run throughout the event, helping us to make our community events work! Setting up drinks, games, sports, food and more will be on the agenda, we're aiming to put something on every day! š“š
The Last Push!
Mon 5th Aug - 1-2pm
This is our final team of the week! We need some help unloading the St Matts van back into the church. This is usually just into a pile in the staff office, but there are bonus points going for things put away in the right places! šŖ
